How do I put an animated avatar on a forum page?

In order for an avatar to be animated it must be in the 'animated .GIF' format (where the .GIF file contains several frames of graphics). You can create these with most modern paint programs as well as some tools that can be found on the web. You can do a search for 'gif editor' and that should get you started. Or you can download them from some sites (some free, some pay). In either case they must be 10k (10240 bytes) or less in order to upload them to easyavatar.

Animated avatars are only animated when used on a forum that allows them.

The animated avatar I want to use is 134w by 99h pixels and 38556 bytes.
At present the only way I can get it to animate is on an email or through 'Word' Clip Art.
If I have to reduce it to less pixels or size I have no idea of how to do so.
This is what I want to know about.
I visited the sites you suggested but found no help, maybe because not with it.

If you do a search (Google,Yahoo) for 'gif animator' or 'gif editor' you will find many GIF tools for trial use or small fee to purchase. Or you can try www.gifworks.com an online free GIF tool.
The problem is that with GIFs, the more you try to reduce them they will get uglier and uglier depending on how far you have to go. The size limit here on easyavatar.com is 10k (10240 bytes) which seems small but most forums don't allow animated avatars. In the future there will be a 'preferred/upgrade' service available that will allow for larger avatar sizes and more avatars.

I went to one of your posts and my pigeon picture appeared after only 1 Reload, equals IE 'Refresh', I've just started using 'Firefox'
I still have no idea of how,  now that I have the reduced image, to put it onto your forum.
I've been through my profile settings over and over but still cannot find anything relating on how to do it.
